Our Story

Our founder, Rahil Siddiqui, spent 14 years as frontline HR in manufacturing—constantly wrestling with empty shifts, clunky spreadsheets and wasted talent. Meanwhile, competitors began siphoning off workers with flexible gig models—and we were losing labor to flexibility.

Every missed assignment felt like a lost opportunity—both for the business and the people it depended on. Then one morning, a single news article landed in his inbox: "43% of women in frontline roles planned to quit because of inflexible hours."

That stat changed everything. He'd handed his resignation by the next morning with the vision to build a platform that treats skills like currency and schedules like water—flowing where they're needed.

Disillusioned by rigid shift systems and driven by empathy for frontline workers he had managed for over a decade, Rahil walked away from a stable, comfortable corporate career to build a better way.

By early 2023, Wilya was launched and had won the confidence of clients like Volvo. Today, Wilya customers report up to 50% less supervisor scheduling time and 30% higher shift fill rates.
